Richard Rossi & Kelly Tabor, co-authors of "Lucy & the Lake Monster" on a boat on Lake Champlain with their field research team for "Lucy's Champs For Champ."
"Lucy's Champs for Champ" is a research and arts project, in which Loch Ness & cryptozoology enthusiasts encourage young minds across the pond in their art, research & search for Champ at Lake Champlain.
Children around the world participated in the contest in Spring, 2024. Those kids local to Lake Champlain or who visited the Port Henry, N.Y. area, looked for Champ in person, just like Lucy & Papa do in our story.
Children in other parts of the world sent pictures they drew or painted, or music and other art they created that is related to Champ and the story of "Lucy & the Lake Monster."
Just as 9 year-old Lucy Lago searches for Champ in our book and film "Lucy & the Lake Monster," kids sent their art & pics about the search and research of Champ.
Papa Jerry, Lucy's grandfather in "Lucy & the Lake Monster" sends greetings to "Lucy's Champs For Champ."
“I think it's wonderful that children are leading the way in the search for Champ, just like in our book and film, Lucy & the Lake Monster. We want to invite anyone and everyone who wants to participate. If we are all looking at the same time, it will be really cool because people can share their pictures, just like the Loch Ness people are currently sharing their experiences.”
(Richard Rossi, Director, "Lucy & the Lake Monster")
Steve Feltham, the World Record Holder for the longest vigil looking for the Loch Ness Monster sends his greetings to "Lucy's Champs For Champ" student explorers and artists. We are sending Steve some of the student's art.
Angus "Soupy" from Loch Ness wants to see plesiosaur cousins Nessie and Champ reconnected.
Doctor Carol Kettlenose, who has an honorary doctorate in crypozoology and pseudoscience from the Nessie University of Enigma, encourages "Lucy's Champs For Champ" researchers and artists.
Loch Ness explorer Hamish McGregor sends greetings from across the pond to Lake Champlain explorers looking for Champ, America's Loch Ness. Sponsored by the "Lucy & the Lake Monster" book and film series.
Thank You Kyle Miller for greeting our Lucy's Champs For Champ artists and explorers, and thanks for creating Home Of Champ to share Champ stuff with the world. Thank you also to Kyle's lovely wife Andrea Anesi for doing a stellar job coordinating Champ Day in Port Henry, NY.
Thank you to all of the children for sending their artwork, pictures, stories, songs, and stories about their investigation and imagination of what Champ may look like. Below is a Partial Gallery of just a portion of the scores of AWESOME ART sent to us from "Lucy & the Lake Monster" fans:
